KING LOUIE ONE MAN BAND
New Orleans legend KING LOUIE strikes again. Chinese Crawfish has heartfelt songs about being thirteen and ugly, frantic rockers, delicate fingerpicking, two pleas for religious salvation, and the pro-Louisiana crawfish farmer title track. A sixteen-track blend of rock, country, and punk action.
After years of playing with bands including The Royal Pendletons and The Persuaders, Louie headed west to write songs and play keyboards with Portland, OR's ill-fated pop punkers The Exploding Hearts and lead his own 10-4 Backdoor.
He currently heads swampcore greats Kajun SS back in New Orleans, occasionally moonlighting in The Bad Times with Jay Reatard and Eric Oblivian. "Chinese Crawfish" has heartfelt songs about being 13 and too ulgy to live, frantic rockers, delicate fingerpicking, two amazing pleas for religious salvation, and the pro-Louisiana crawfish farmer title. Mixing the aggression of his skateboard punk rock roots with a love of country music and the rebellious clang of a cowbell, Louie has forged the link between garage rock and the truck stop.
